QUETTA: Provincial and federal governments are not concerned about the demands of farmers, said members of the Balochistan Zamindar Committee (BZAC) on Wednesday. The departments concerned were never interested in problems being faced by the farming community, they complained at a press conference.
“Water is one of our core problems,” the committee members said, adding that “there are a great number of water resources but it looks like the provincial government just hasn’t included us in their list of priorities.”
They claimed that proposals for dams in Balochistan were made in 2003 but no substantial steps had been taken in this regard so far.
