ISLAMABAD: A local court on Tuesday sent an accused in the Maulana Azam Tariq murder case to Adiala jail on 14 days judicial remand.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had arrested the accused from Benazir Bhutto International Airport on May 11.
Tariq, the then MNA, was killed along with three of his guards and a driver in the jurisdiction of Golra police station of Islamabad on October 6, 2003, while returning from his constituency, Jhang, to attend a National Assembly session.
The police registered a case against 13 suspects including Kazmi.
The trial court declared him an absconder and the government announced a bounty of Rs1 million on Kazmi.
The court also directed the prosecution to produce the accused after expiry of 14 days judicial remand.
