LAHORE, July 29: PML-Q’s MPA Amjad Hameed Dasti has proposed that the leaders who are obstructing construction of the Greater Thal Canal and Kalabagh Dam should be admitted to the Fountain House so that these projects can be executed as early as possible.

Expressing his views on the floor of Punjab Assembly here on Tuesday about devastation in the wake of floods and rains in Sindh, he said only a few people, like Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, Rasool Bakhsh Palejo and Akbar Bugti, were opposing the projects, which were need of country’s future.

He said the flood damage could have been curtailed by constructing water reservoirs.

He regretted that the government had ignored these issues despite a heavy mandate.
