KARACHI, July 29: Five ships carrying containers, chemicals, steel and highspeed diesel are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Kwang Ding, Gao He and Sima Bahar to unload and load containers, Khairpur to load rice and Nur al-Jubail to offload chemicals were berthed after the departure of one.

On one container vessel, Izumo departed after loading containers, while Kwang Ding, Nur al-Jubail, Kota Waruna, Sima Bahar and Gao He are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 59,882 tons comprising 7,651 tons of export cargo, including 543 tons of rice and 52,231 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Hyundai Stride, Almanakh, with containers, Dooyang Victor, with steel, Dolvi, with highspeed diesel and Gingal Anner, with chemicals.
