Roads of Saddar

Published April 8, 2017

AS a resident of Saddar Town, Karachi, for the past 17 years I am well aware of the traffic situation. The traffic condition has now assumed an alarming situation in this area because of some development projects which include the main Lucky Star road and other adjoining roads, including roads leading to Atrium Mall and Zainab Market.

It has been almost a year when the project was started but there is little or no progress made so far. The worst part of it is the presence of dust in the air because of road excavation work causing breathing difficulties for people having asthma. There is no proper alternative routes provided by the authorities. This results in traffic jams. Most importantly, ambulances going to the Jinnah Hospital face traffic jams every day near Lucky Star.
