The categories in which awards will be given to the successful applicants, include best investigative story (English), best feature/column (English/Urdu), best investigative story (Urdu), best picture (print), best radio package and best TV package.

The TV package involves two awards, one each for reporter and cameraman. A lifetime achievement award is also included in the list of categories.

Senior Minister Local Government Inayatullah Khan and senior politician Afrasiab Khattak and judges’ panel would hand over the awards to the successful journalists.
