ISLAMABAD, July 27: The Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Division and Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment has informed the overseas employment seekers that no person, agency or promoter had been authorized to make recruitments for Malaysia.

A press release issued here by the ministry said so far no memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Malaysia had been signed with the Pakistani government. It warned the public against those unscrupulous elements who were fleecing the job seekers by promising them employment in various fields or categories in Malaysia.

Recently, the minister for labour manpower and overseas Pakistanis has urged the employment seekers through the media not to fall prey to such fraudulent elements.

The press statement asked the general public to inform the officers of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Division, if either an individual or agencies promise them jobs in Malaysia.

Offices of the ministry are located at Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Quetta.

SKILLED WORKERS: The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) managing director, Mohammad Iqbal Malik, has said skilled and educated manpower is highly in demand overseas which will help reduce growing unemployment and earn valuable foreign exchange for the country, adds APP.
