Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Wednesday claimed to have arrested five suspects, including a member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London for causing riots in Karachi, according to the paramilitary force’s spokesman.

The paramilitary force detained Rauf alias Kala from Nazimabad who was affiliated with MQM-L, added the spokesman.

The suspect allegedly threw ‘chemical’ on a passenger bus which resulted in the deaths of five people. He was also allegedly involved in extortion activities and acted as a facilitator for several crimes.

The Rangers also arrested two suspected gangsters, said to be involved in extortion and were involved in gang-war activities.

One suspected robber and a drug peddler were also arrested from various areas of the metropolis.
