Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan on Monday confirmed that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has refused to tour the country.

He added that it is unlikely for Bangladesh to make the visit at this time.

The PCB chairman elaborated that Pakistan had invited Bangladesh to tour the country for two Twenty20 matches after the conclusion of the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Champions Trophy.

"However, BCB declined the invite," Khan said.

Recalling that the national team's visit to Bangladesh was scheduled for July, Khan said: "We will now revisit that decision as Pakistan has already toured Bangladesh at least twice in the past," he added.

"Pakistan's visit is not yet confirmed," he clarified.

Top officials from PCB and BCB are set to meet next month during an upcoming ICC meet-up.
