LARKANA, June 26: The roads leading to local Fish Market and Sabzi Mandi are flooded with dirty water as the gutters continue to overflow in the area.
The people have to wade through the dirty water to go to purchase fish or vegetable.
Gutters are also choked in Ali Goharabad, Abbas Chowk, Siddik Colony, Nazar Mohalla and Lahori Mohalla.
In protest against the poor sanitary conditions, a procession was taken out in Gajanpur where gutter water has accumulated in front of Madressa Ishaatul Quran.
The protestors also burnt tyres to block the road.
Larkana Taluka Nazim Nazeer Shaikh arrived at the spot and assured the protestors that water would soon be drained out on which the residents ended the protest.
The residents of Nazar Mohalla also held a demonstration to protest over insufficient arrangements to drain out water.
Meanwhile, differences have developed between the Taluka Nazim and sanitation committee chairman Ghulam Sarwar Shaikh.
Talking to journalists, Mr Shaikh alleged that the sanitary staff of the municipal administration had refused to cooperate with him and as a result garbage and dirty water had accumulated in many areas of the city.
