KARACHI, July 26: The advisor to provincial environment minister, Faisal Malik, taking notice of the reported water contamination, has directed the officials of Environment Protection Agency to take prompt notice of public complaints and procure samples for comprehensive laboratory test.

Responding to a news report regarding growing incidents of water contamination and outbreak of related diseases here on Saturday, the advisor also asked the EPA authorities to provide him results of the examined water samples, which must be collected from different parts of the city.

Mentioning that outbreak of varied water born diseases are particularly witnessed during monsoon season, the advisor appealed to the citizens to use boiled water only.

Mr Malik also urged people to ensure strict compliance to doctors’ advice and seek immediate treatment to all water born diseases.—APP
