LAHORE: A property dealer reportedly shot his son dead on Friday who was recently released on bail in the case of killing his mother and the man she was alleged to have an affair with.

Police said Sadaqat, 26, of Paracha Colony was annoyed with his father, Liaqat Ali, over contracting a second marriage.

The police said the deceased was involved in the killing of his mother and the man she allegedly knew some 10 years ago.

He had got a bail three months back with the efforts of his father.

The police said Sadaqat first tortured his stepmother and her three children and also issued her threats of dire consequences if they did not leave the house. The woman took her children, left the house and reported the matter to Liaqat who went to his house, shot his son dead and fled the scene.

The police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against the suspect who could not be arrested till the filing of this report.

ARREST: Police claim to have arrested a suspect involved in the killing of a transgender at Kahna.

Model Town Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigations Kashif Aslam said the victim, Muhammad Fiaz alias Muskan, was stabbed to death a few weeks ago in Kahna by unidentified persons.

During investigation, the police came to know that Muskan was friends with Fiaz of Chungi Amar Sadhu. The police arrested Fiaz who confessed to committing the murder.

The SP said the suspect revealed that he met Muskan at an engagement ceremony and developed relationship with her. He said he had killed Muskan for demanding money from him.

SUSPECTS HELD: Gulberg police arrested two foreigner women illegally living in Sultan Park on Friday.

The suspects were arrested during a search operation.

The arrested suspects were identified as Dara Tagore and Rusawariyo. They could not present any document, passport or visa, to confirm their identity.

A case under the Foreigners Act was registered against them.
