QUETTA: Jaffarabad qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating Bolan 5-3 in the qualifying round of the PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017 in district Naseerabad on Wednesday.

The match resulted in a draw in the regular time but Jaffarabd outscored Bolan on the penalty shootout. District Education Officer Saleem Ali Sundrani distributed the prizes.

In other districts, Nushki outplayed Pishin 2-0, Loralai beat Qilla Saifullah by 1-0 while Gwadar and Khuzdar lost their matches against Turbat and Lasbela 0-1 and 0-3, respectively.

However, the matches between Chaman and Quetta, Pasni and Panjgur and Surab and Kalat resulted in 1-1 draws each.

After the end of the qualifying round nearing on March 18, the final round starts on March 20.
