Fourth gas blast victim dies

RAWALPINDI, Jan 2: Another victim of Saturday’s gas explosion died of his injuries at the Rawalpindi General Hospital early Wednesday morning, bringing the death toll to four, the relatives of the deceased said.

Qurban Hussain, 32, and seven other members of his family were burnt when his wife, Zaheera Bibi, showed a match stick to a stove which exploded due to gas leakage.

The doctors at the RGH said another injured person, Maida Perveen, the sister-in-law of Qurban, was in critical condition.—Staff Reporter
