LAHORE, Dec 30: The PML factions headed by Chaudhry Shujaat Husain and Mian Shahbaz Sharif held separate ceremonies to celebrate the party’s 97th foundation day.

The PML-Q organized the ceremony at the Muslim League House on Davis Road where the leaders praised the services of the party for the restoration of democracy.

Mian Meraj Din presided over the function.

The participants appreciated the MMA-government agreement on the LFO and congratulated the leadership for cooperation in the adoption of the 17th constitutional amendment.

A resolution called upon the ARD to follow MMA’s suit and join hands with the government.

Akhtar Rasool, Mian Abdus Sattar, Naseebullah Gardezi and Chaudhry Muhammad Siddiq were among the speakers. The PML-N held a separate ceremony at its Garden Town office. Provincial information secretary Zaeem Husain Qadri and Nasir Iqbal Khan were present on the occasion.
