DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three people were killed here on Sunday in what relatives claimed an armed attack on sectarian grounds.

They said Saqlain, Ali Raza and Jamil were going to their fields when armed motorcyclists opened fire on them on Ghonser Road in Prawa tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district, killing them on the spot. The assailants escaped after the attack.

The relatives placed the bodies on the road to register their protest. They demanded immediate arrest of the killers.

According to sources, Saqlain’s father Mukhtar Ali, who was caretaker of a local Imambargah, was also killed by unidentified people last year.

Four policemen and a civilian were killed in targeted attacks in D.I. Khan city and its surrounding areas last week.
