Women councillors demand salary

Published January 3, 2002

MINGORA, Jan 2: The women councillors have expressed their concern over the non-availability of basic facilities and demanded of the government to announce regular monthly salaries for them and provide all the basic facilities to the elected women.

A two-day seminar was held here at a local hotel under the Citizen Action Committee (CAC), which was largely attended by the male and female councillors.

The women councillors in their speeches complained that they were not given proper time in the council sessions and only the male elected persons were given the priority.
