Drainage system

Published February 16, 2017

BARRAGE Colony is situated in Hyderabad where most people are government servants in the irrigation department, including Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority. However, the colony is without any drainage system.

There are at least 500 residential quarters here. Stagnant water surrounds almost all houses, making it difficult for the people to walk anywhere. People can’t go to their offices, mosques and bazaars. Children face difficulties in going to school.

The stagnant water becomes a breeding ground for flies, mosquitoes and cockroaches.

The authorities concerned are requested to resolve the issue on an urgent basis.
