Golden chance for Wapda to go top

Published December 28, 2003

KARACHI, Dec 27: While KRL take a break, Wapda have a golden chance of going to the top of the Patron’s Trophy Pool ‘A’ standings when they meet Bangladesh ‘A’ in the next round of matches.

PIA, who were held to draw by Wapda on Thursday, face a resurgent PTCL side that romped to their maiden first-class victory when they thrashed the touring Bangladeshis by eight wickets.

Pakistan Customs, who face DHA, are still licking their wounds after the two-day hammering at the hands of KRL last Tuesday.

All four-day matches are preceded by the one-day Patron’s Cup ties on Sunday.
