RAWALPINDI: The Punjab home department has directed divisional police chiefs, the additional inspector general of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and the Special Branch to bust the network of the facilitators of terror groups who were still very active.

In a directive to the authorities concerned, the home department said a close coordination between the law enforcement and intelligence agencies was imperative. It said the focus should be on the facilitators, handlers and sympathisers of terrorists so that no such element could carry out any terror activity.

It also asked the divisional police chiefs, CTD and the Special Branch to keep strict vigilance on such people.
