HYDERABAD, Jan 2: Activists of the Sindh People’s Youth Organization (SB) held a token hunger strike outside the press club on Wednesday.
They were protesting against the expected release of Asif Ali Zardari and the facilities being given to the alleged killers of Mir Murtaza Bhutto and others.
Talking to newsmen, its leaders, Dr Nisar Ahmed Sodhro, Gada Hussain Junejo, and Javed Mughal said that there was a move in the offing to release Asif Zardari under some deal and warned that they would not accept any such deal.
They claimed that at least 200 people were eyewitnesses to his killing out of which 17 witnesses had recorded their statements but 183 witnesses had yet to depose before the court.
They warned that if the bail of the accused persons were not cancelled, the followers of Mir Murtaza Bhutto would themselves avenge the killings of their leaders.
