Nazim accused of power theft

SADIQABAD, Dec 26: Wapda officials claimed on Friday to have found the Qadirpur union council Nazim stealing electricity during a raid here.

Reports said Zahir Pir SDO Khadim Husain Sindhu and meter inspector M Aslam Ghauri conducted a raid along with other officials at the residence of UC Nazim Muhammad Hamid Shah and found illegal power supply to his residence directly from the main line.

The team disconnected the power supply and fined him Rs3,000 and got a case registered against him with the relevant police.
