GUJRANWALA, Dec 24: A security guard of a private agency shot dead two persons and injured a boy for scolding him over eve teasing in Kangniwala here on Tuesday night.

Saleem Dar, in the habit of teasing girls, cut an obnoxious joke with the sisters of minor boy Boota when they were on their way home. The accused manhandled Boota when he protested against the conduct of the security guard.

Nazir, the father of Boota, reached the spot and threatened Dar of lodging a complaint with his employer and police as well for teasing his daughters. He fell into a rage and shot dead Nazir instantly.

Later, he turned tail and tried to take shelter in the shop of Irfat, but he refused. At this, he also shot dead Irfat and beat a retreat.

Police have registered a case against the accused and are investigating.

Meanwhile, DPO Saud Aziz directed the police raiding team to arrest the accused immediately.

ORDINANCE: The district government will implement the health ordinance 2002 promulgated by the government.

According to a report, the government had banned smoking at public places under the health ordinance, but it could not be implemented. Now the government has asked the district government to get implemented this ordinance immediately.

For this purpose, the district administration has formed a committee headed by DCO Fazeel Asgher. While the DPO, the DHO, EDOs, MSs of civil hospitals, PMA president and patients welfare association president will be its members.

The committee will prepare a comprehensive plan for the implementation of the health ordinance.
