DHAKA, Dec 21: The Stranded Pakistanis’ General Repatriation Committee (SPG-RC) gave the government a seven-day deadline on Sunday to arrest the killers of a stranded Pakistani trader and his son.

They were shot dead inside their Bihari Camp residence at Pallabi on Saturday morning.

The SPGRC brought out procession at the camp, condemning the killings and demanding arrest of the killers. “If the government fails, we will launch a hunt for the killers,” Abdul Jabbar Khan, general secretary of the committee, told the rally.

It also sought the intervention of prime minister and formation of a judicial inquiry commission into the murders.

Meanwhile, the residents of the camp warned of a vigorous movement and a hunt for the killers should the administration fail to nab the killers of Fakruddin Ahmed and his son, Mirajuddin.

As of Sunday night, the police could neither unearth the motive behind the killings nor arrest anyone in this connection till Sunday evening. They had arrested two young men from the camp on Saturday evening, but failed to gather any information during interrogation.
