Taimur slams hat trick

LAHORE, Dec 20: Five more matches, of two chukkers each were played on Saturday in the Dimal Polo Cup tournament at LPC Ground on Saturday.

Musa Industries played two matches in all, both of which they lost, first to SHV Energy and later to Leather Connection.

SHV beat Musa 3-1 with Asif Tiwana hitting two and Agha Murtaza slamming one goal. The loser’s lone goal was scored by Samiullah.

Leather Connection thrashed Musa Industries 6-2 with a hat trick by Hissam Ali Haider. Hissam scored a total of four goals while Aurangzeb Monnoo and Shah Shamyl Alam added a goal each.

The losers managed to score twice through Raja Sattar and Samiullah.

Guard Rice played two matches, winning one and losing the other. They defeated First Law Company 3- 1 1/2, in the first match.

Taimur Malik struck a hat trick for the winners.

First Law who were playing with a half goal handicap scored through Ahsan Javed Sher.

But fortunes changed for Rice, when they lost to Dimal 4-1/2 in the second match. Saqib Khakwani and Taimur Mawaz scored two goals each against the losers who had a 1/2 goal hndicap.

First Law also lost to Dimal 5-3 1/2 due to a hat trick by Taimur Mawaz Khan, who in all scored four goals. Amer scored the fifth goal for the winners. Playing with one and a half handicap goal, First Law scored two goals through Amer and Kamran Zaidi.
