US Marine general calls on president

RAWALPINDI, Dec 20: Commander United States Marine Corps Gen Michael W. Hagee, who is currently in Pakistan on an official visit, called on President Gen Pervez Musharraf here on Saturday.

During the meeting, the president expressed the hope that Gen Michael W. Hagee’s visit would serve to further enhance cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and the United States.

President Musharraf and the US general exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.

United States Ambassador to Pakistan Nancy Powell was also present on the occasion.
