Rowing course concludes

ISLAMABAD, Dec 18: An International Olympic Solidarity Rowing Course concluded here at the Rawal Lake, acting secretary of the Pakistan Rowing Federation (PRF) Rizwan Ul Haq said on Thursday.

He said that as many as 25 coaches drawn from all over the country took part in the course which was conducted by Canadian Andrew Paul Harrison.

Rizwan, who himself is the coach of the national rowing team, acted as the course coordinator.

“There has been a remarkable improvement in the standards of our oarsmen following the 15-day course,” Rizwan said. “The rowers are now in great shape for the SAF Games, especially Muhammad Akram, the playing coach of Navy.”

At the conclusion of the course, PRF president Mumtaz Ali gave away certificates to the participants.
