LAHORE, Dec 18: The European Union has decided to continue offering grants to the information technology organizations based in Pakistan for developing IT projects covering e-government, agriculture, health and transport sectors.

This was stated by EU Asia IT&C Programme director (operations) Chris Brown while speaking at a seminar jointly organized by the EU and the Pakistan Software Export Board at a local hotel on Thursday.

Mr Brown said the EU had funded five IT-related projects in Pakistan last year and wanted to fund an equal number of projects next year. He said the EU would grant $250,000 for each project related to e-government, agriculture, health and transport sectors.
