KARACHI, Dec 18: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has said that Pakistan is playing an active role in international efforts against terrorism despite limited resources.

He was talking to a group of military attaches of different countries who called on him at the Governor’s House on Wednesday night.

The governor said visible improvement was witnessed in law and order in Karachi and important indicators were reflective of that improvement. He referred to stock exchange indicators, practical interest of local and foreign investors.

He said there was a wide gap between the perception of few sections of media, travel advisors of some countries, and the real situation of Karachi. He added that international delegations had admitted the fact after observing the situation in the city.

The governor said the continuity of the reforms programme of the President in social and economic sectors was being ensured and transparency in its implementation had put produced positive results, especially in the economic sector.— PPI
