NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Dec 17: In a bid to recover the people kidnapped from Thariri Mohabbat, Dadu district, at least 30 more persons were picked up from the kutcha area of the district on Wednesday.

The number of people detained during the anti-dacoit operation has swelled to 72.

The operation is continuing to recover Warah Mukhtiarkar Khadim Hussain and three others kidnapped from Dadu a few days ago.

Those arrested today included Piaro Khushk, Hubdar Ali, student of class 10, Bisharat Ali, student of class 12, primary teacher Dildar, Qubo Khushk, Jani, Allah Dino, Gulab, Imdad and Dadan Khushk and others.

The police surrounded an area of about 50 kilometres which included Keti Jaman, Keti Khushk, Keti Samtia and Bakhri in Kandiaro taluka.

The police raided different areas including Mir Mohammad Khushk, Mitho Khushk and Koro Khushk villages

The police also blocked ways through shallow water near Sagiyoon, Kamal Dero, Bakhri and six other places along the Indus, which connected Naushahro Feroze with Dadu and Larkana districts.

Health centre in village Koro were also raided only to find empty pockets of biscuits and cigarettes.

The bandits had reportedly entered into district Naushahro Feroze from Dadu by crossing the Indus.

The police have received an information that the kidnapped persons were in Kutcha area of Naushahro Feroze.

The operation was continuing till the filing of this report.

KIDNAPPED: A young girl was kidnapped from Haji Bachal Abro village near Kamal Dero on Tuesday night.

Basheeran Abro, daughter of Mohammad Ramzan, was kidnapped by Asghar, son of Nawab Kalhoro, with the help of his two unidentified accomplice from her house. An FIR was lodged with the Kamal Dero police on Wednesday.
