Plea accepted for hearing

SKARDU, Dec 16: The Chief Court of Northern Areas has accepted an appeal against the verdict passed by the election tribunal of Skardu whereby the membership of the appellant was declared as void, sources told APP on Tuesday.

The appeal was filed by Northern Areas Legislative Council member Agha Syed Mohammad Ali Shah Rizvi, which was pleaded by Muzaffar Ali Khan and Shafqat Wali Khan, advocates.

Chief Court member Raja Jalaluddin ordered suspension of the verdict passed by the election tribunal and accepted the appeal for hearing on Dec 22.
