Published December 15, 2003

SARGODHA, Dec 14: The cantonment police have registered a case against the water works superintendent and some other officials of Tehsil Municipal Administration on charges of supplying unhygienic water to police offices including the Police training School.

It was alleged by the gardener of Police Lines that for the last couple of months the TMA had been supplying unhygienic drinking water to the locality.

Over a 100 recruits of the training school were hospitalized due to infection and relieved from school for a week to avoid an epidemic.

It was alleged that a sample of the water being supplied by the TMA was sent for analysis and it was found out that water was unfit for human consumption.
