PESHAWAR, Dec 14: Islami Jamiat Talaba is holding a referendum over the issue of restoration of students’ union on Tuesday, said a press release here on Sunday.

A meeting of the IJT, held here under its University of Peshawar’s campus chief Abidur Rehman, expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for the referendum. It said students would cast their votes at 12 designated polling stations, where polling will start from 9am and continue till 12 noon.

A  special  cell has been established to monitor the proceedings. Besides students, teaching and non-teaching staff of different departments and faculties would also poll votes. The meeting also demanded of the government to restore students’ unions so that they could strive for the resolution of their problems from that platform.
