COLOMBO, Dec 14: Sri Lanka’s squabbling president and prime minister have told their supporters to prepare for a snap election as talks due Monday to end their dispute were unlikely to yield a breakthrough, party sources said. However neither leader has publicly called for an election.
Party officials from both camps said on Sunday there was no indication of a resolution to the power struggle.—AFP
