KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Saturday arrested two suspected militants involved in the Muharram suicide bomb attack in Jacobabad last year.

Acting on a tip-off, the paramilitary personnel apprehended the suspects in Sukkur and Hub. The men, Kamran Khazani and Attaullah, were affiliated with a banned militant outfit.

Official sources claimed that Kamran had planned the attack and Attaullah provided support for the explosion in Lashari Mohalla, Jacobabad, which targeted the procession of 9th Muharram on Oct 23 last year, killing several people.

They were handed over to police for legal action.
