I don’t know what exactly prompted ace Lollywood director Syed Noor to suggest that films (actually the phrase attributed to him is ‘Pakistan film industry’) should be included in educational curricula.

Whatever made him say that, the fact is that it is a fantastic idea. Films, their technique, their purpose, their impact on society should be taught not just to those who aspire to become film-makers but also to those who study liberal arts or social sciences. We need that.

So good on you Syed sahib. Keep floating such good ideas!
