A Pakistan Army team won gold in a premier patrolling event of the British Army called Exercise Cambrian Patrol.
"This year, the 59 Punjab from the 37th Division/1 Corps represented the Pakistan Army in Cambrian Patrol in the UK and won a Gold medal." Pakistan Defence tweeted.
"Top marks again for Pakistan. Year after year they deliver a polished performance. Another hard-earned gold medal," the British Army in Wales tweeted.
A team of Pakistan Army won the gold medal in the same event, last year, when they beat around 140 teams from armies across the globe.
The international patrolling exercise, an annual event organised and run by the 160th Infantry Brigade and Headquarters Wales, is both physically and mentally demanding and is a highlight in the British Army’s training calendar.
Internationally, it is regarded as one of the toughest tests the modern-day soldier can face, with some overseas entrants having to claim the right to take part by winning their own domestic competition.

from the British Army official website "The Cambrian Patrol is an exercise and not a competition. It "is conducted for the benefit of units and there is no final order of merit. The exercise is designed to be within the capability of any well-led and well-trained patrol from any Arm or Service. The exercise is the same for Regular and Reserve Forces and also draws participants from foreign countries." There is no Gold , no order of merit at all .

A team from the Indian Army's Gorkha Rifles has won a gold medal this year. Team 2/8 Gorkha was awarded a gold medal in Exercise Cambrian Patrol organized by the British Army.
The Cambrian Patrol is not a competition. Gold (75 percent), silver (65-74 percent) and bronze (55-64 percent) medals are awarded based on the number of points earned on completion of the gruelling course. Certificates are awarded to teams that finish with lower than 55 percent of the points.
