Rawalpindi champions

LAHORE, Dec 31: Rawalpindi bagged four gold one silver and bronze medals to emerge as champions of the Punjab Karate Championship Monday.

Faisalabad clinched two gold, two silver and three bronze medals to earn the second position. Bahawalpur also claimed two gold medals to earn the third position.

Results:

55 kgs: 1. Sharafat Ali (Rawalpindi), 2. Nasir (Lahore), 3. Rashid Khan (Sialkot).

60 kgs: 1. Tanvir Ahmad (Rawalpindi), 2. Hasib-ur-Rehman (Multan), 3. Mohammad Yousaf (Faisalabad).

65 kgs: 1. Ghazanfar Ali Abid (Kasur), 2. Tariq Rasheed (Rawalpindi), 3. Mohammad Shahzad (Sargodha).

70 kgs: 1. Asghar Musa (Bahawalpur), 2. Amin Chaudhary (Lahore), 3. Mohammad Azeem (Sargodha).

75 kgs: 1. Majid Butt (Faisalabad), 2. Afzal Beg (Faisalabad), 3. Najeebullah (Rawalpindi).

80 kgs: 1. Iqbal Shah (Bahawalpur), 2. Ali Zaman Butt (Faisalabad), 3. Mohammad Hafiz (Sialkot).

Above 80 kgs: 1. Zubair Anwar (Rawalpindi), 2. Zeeshan (Lahore), 3. Khizer Hayat (Faisalabad).
