QUETTA, Dec 8: The provincial cabinet was informed on Monday that the Balochistan government had presented its financial resource distribution formula in the first meeting of the National Finance Commission.

Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousuf chaired the special session of the cabinet here.

Later, a committee was formed to promote the province’s stance in this regard. The committee would also assist the province’s NFC team besides coordinating with other provinces in this regard.

The meeting was apprised that Balochistan was the only province that had presented a formula in the National Finance Commission deliberations suggesting that federating units’ share in the distribution of financial resources should be enhanced to 50 percent.
