PESHAWAR:ANP leader shot dead

PESHAWAR, Dec 8: A leader of the Awami National Party and a lawyer, Syed Marghoob Ali Shah, was shot dead by three unidentified armed men in Charsadda on Monday, a police official said.

The ANP leader, who was brother of former IGP of Azad Kashmir Syed Hassan Mukhtar, was killed near a graveyard on the College Road in Charsadda as he was walking from his residence in the Prang village to sessions court in Charsadda, the police official said.

His brother, Syed Raza Ali Bacha, who later lodged an FIR, said that he had no enemies.

Meanwhile, the Charsadda Bar Association condemned the incident and urged the government to arrest the killers, a press release said.f
