MIRANSHAH (North Waziristan), Dec 7: Loud explosions were heard around the agency headquarters on Sunday as four missiles were fired at a militia fort here.

The explosions created panic the area. Army troops and militia personnel increased patrolling after the attack.

No loss was reported. The fort was attacked from different directions. A missile exploded a few hundred yards away from a militia picket near the fort and three landed in a nearby water course.

The political administration arrested 26 people of the Darpakhel sub-tribe of Wazirs and sealed their businesses in the town.
