ISLAMABAD, Dec 7: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started removing the replicas of Ghauri missiles installed at various squares in Islamabad after the nuclear detonations of 1999.
The biggest replica of Ghauri missile was installed at F-10 square, which was removed on Saturday night by the Authority.
People have also demanded of the CDA to remove the replicas of missiles and Chaghi Mountains at Faizabad, the entry point of Islamabad, a source in the Authority said. When contacted, Interior Minister Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat said the objective behind removal of such replicas was not to please the Indian government as was being believed by certain quarters but to replace them with peace-loving and environment- friendly models.
