HANGU, Dec 6: Two brothers were shot at and critically wounded by highwaymen, who tried to stop a passenger van at Zargari in Hangu district on Friday.

Witnesses said the van (Peshawar-4773) was on its way from Dabori in Orakzai Agency to Hangu. When it reached near Sarkar in Zargari area, unidentified highwaymen opened fire when the van driver did not stop and tried to escape.

Shireen Akbar and Jan Akbar were injured.
