NEW YORK: Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton felt “overheated” and left early from a September 11 ceremony in New York City on Sunday.

TV channel MSNBC cut in during its 9/11 service coverage to report the incident.

A Clinton spokesperson told reporters Mrs Clinton had gone to daughter Chelsea’s apartment in New York and is “feeling much better.”

Fox news however reported that a law-enforcement official told them that Clinton left the memorial ceremony due to a “medical episode.”

The report was not independently verified, and US media reported that Clinton’s aides had not initially responded to questions from the press on the matter.
