Police reforms discussed

PESHAWAR, Dec 4: A meeting of the cabinet committee on police reforms was held here on Thursday at the civil secretariat under the chairmanship of NWFP Minister for Excise and Taxation and Food Fazal Rabbani, who is also the chairman of Police Reforms Committee.

Among others, the meeting was attended by NWFP Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi as well as Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs Abdul Haleem Qusuria. Participants called for improving the police’s performance by providing them facilities, including promotions and increasing their salaries.—PPI
