SHIKARPUR: Bandit killed in encounter

SHIKARPUR, Dec 4: A bandit was killed and his accomplice arrested following an encounter with police near Mazar Jagirani village on Thursday.

The encounter took place when the Chak police and some villagers were following footprints of bandits who had attempted to snatch a motorbike from villagers.

The police said when they reached near the village the outlaws, who were hiding in a ditch, started firing on them which was returned.

As a result Munir Jatoi was killed and his accomplice received bullet injuries who was later arrested by the police.

The police recovered two kalashnikovs, two magazines and 105 bullets from the scene. Other accomplices of the bandit managed to escape.

KILLED: A woman, Zeba, wife of Jaindo Bhutto, was gunned down on the pretext of Karo-kari by her brother-in-law, Laung Bhutto, in Shahnawaz Panhwar village in the jurisdiction of Khanpur police station on Wednesday night.

npp: Dr Mohammad Ibrahim Jatoi, member of the National Assembly from Shikarpur and president of National People’s Party, Sindh, has said that he was unsatisfied with the services being rendered by the Sindh government for redressal of people’s grievances.

He said this while talking to newsmen on Tuesday.

He said that the Sindh government had failed to find a solution to the problems being faced by the people in Sindh.
