KARACHI:Woman throttled to death

KARACHI, Dec 4: An elderly woman was killed in her house in Orangi Town early Thursday morning.

Police said Rafiqan, 80, used to live alone in the upper-story room of her house which was shared by her three sons’ in Sector 14- Jauhar Chowk Orangi Town. On Thursday morning when her grand children went upstairs they found her body. The victim was a midwife.

She had injury marks at her throat and an injury on her left eye. Police suspect that she was pushed to the floor and throttled to death. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

DIES: A minor girl died after falling into a drain in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Thursday.

Police said that Kulsoom, 7, fell into a stormwater drain in Rashdi goth. The area residents buried her without legal formalities, police said.
