KARACHI, Dec 3: An evaluation committee has been formed to examine the proposals pertaining to the implementation of the Rail-based Mass Transit System on priority corridor-I to be built on BOT basis.

Official concerned in the city government told PPI that this committee would convene its meeting on the 12th of next month, which is the new date for submission of tenders, to evaluate the proposals put forward by pre-qualified firms.

DCO Mir Hussain Ali has been appointed as head of the committee with DG of Karachi Mass Transit Cell (KMTC), EDO Transport and Communication and representatives of City Nazim as its members.—PPI
