Land dispute claims two lives

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 2: Two people were killed while an elderly man sustained serious injuries when their rivals opened fire on them in Chuhawali village, some 40 kilometres from here, on Tuesday.

It is reported that Asghar and Kali were present in the dera of one Shahid when accused Ashiq along with 12 accomplices reached there. They opened fire on Asghar and Kali killing them on the spot. A bullet hit Shahid’s father Allah Ditta, 70, who was admitted to hospital in serious condition.

An agricultural land dispute is stated to be the cause of the murders.
