Bull kills owner

TOBA TEK SINGH, Dec 2: A bull killed a farmer in Chak 178-GB Gogha on Tuesday.

It is reported that farmer Khadim Husain was putting fodder before the bull when it suddenly pricked his abdomen with his horns. He died on way to hospital.

TRACTOR BURNT: Unidentified people set ablaze the tractor of a farmer in Chak 674/15-GB on Monday night.

Arshad informed police that he had parked his tractor in the compound of his house when some unidentified people set it to fire.

OBITUARY: A municipal committee labour councillor, Baba Noor Muhammad Ansari, died here on Tuesday after a brief illness.

A large number of people attended his funeral.

denies: District Nazim Chaudhry Ashfaq denied on Tuesday that he had met former prime minister and PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto in London during his recent visit to the United Kingdom.

Mr Ashfaq, who is a former district president, an MNA and an MPA, told newsmen that such rumours were being spread by his political opponents to harm his repute.

He also denied that he was rejoining the PPP.
